Legislative
In Congress, SCAG's priorities include: funding for projects designed to increase the mobility of goods movement in the SCAG region; reauthorization of Vision 100 - Century of Aviation Reauthorization Act (see Next Generation Air Transportation System Financing Reform Act of 2007); identification of SCAG priorities for inclusion in the reauthorization of SAFETEA-LU; and support for FY 2008 appropriation requests.
In the State Legislature, SCAG's priorities are to support legislation providing for a pilot project in the SCAG region for the Regional Housing Needs Assessment that incorporates an integrated process including SCAG's Blueprint; support for the distribution of infrastructure bonds approved by the voters in November 2006 in an manner favorable to the SCAG region; and legislation permitting tribal governments to enter into a joint powers authority with SCAG.

Legislative Reference Guide
SCAG biennially issues the State & Federal Legislative Reference Guide containing information on effective methods of advocacy and communicating with legislators. The State & Federal Legislative Reference Guide contains information on the legislative process, including key dates for the current legislative session. Most of the State & Federal Legislative Reference Guide is dedicated to providing contact information for Members of Congress and the State Legislature from the SCAG region, as well as leadership, and members of several key committees.
